The location is great, close to the docks and downtown, making it easy to explore. The breakfast options were adequate and convenient. However, the elevators seemed unreliable, and I encountered some noise issues due to nearby transportation. Overall, it was a decent stay, but a few improvements could enhance the experience.

Perfect location near the beach and Little Italy. We loved exploring the area, especially the whale-watching tours and great dining options. Just a heads up, the elevator can take some time, so plan accordingly. Overall, a solid spot for group trips.
The only downside was the noisy traffic, especially on the front side of the hotel. It made it hard to get a good night’s sleep.

I had a good experience at the Hampton Inn in San Diego but it wasn't without its hiccups. The check-in process was smooth and the staff was very helpful, which I appreciated. The location is definitely a major plus. It's just a short walk from Little Italy and the waterfront, making it perfect for evening strolls and dining options. The complimentary breakfast was decent, though I wish the scrambled eggs had been more appetizing. One downside was the noise from the nearby train, especially at night. it made sleeping a bit challenging. The elevators were also a hassle. Only one seemed to be working, prompting many guests to wait long stretches or take the stairs. I found that frustrating, especially on higher floors. My room was spacious and clean, but I felt the mattress could use an upgrade for better comfort. Still, I'd consider returning for the location and friendly service.

Family with children friendly
The hotel was very clean and the staff were super friendly. We had 10 of us there, and it was great they got us rooms together so we could be close, plus easy check-in with the Honors app.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but still acceptable.

The staff provided excellent service, promptly arranging adjoining rooms for our family after the initial assignment was incorrect. The location was perfect for exploring various neighborhoods and the Embarcadero. Breakfast featured a diverse selection, with attentive staff ensuring everything was well-stocked. However, the parking area could be a bit cramped during busy times and additional amenities would have enhanced our stay.
